March 2017
Client: Association for Project Management
Project: APM Awards 2017 branding and communications

The Association for Project Management is the largest professional body of its kind in Europe.

In our first project for the APM, Aura were tasked with creating a stylish and fresh campaign identity for the APM Awards 2017 to create and maintain engagement from call-to-entry, to the ceremony and beyond.

The annual awards recognise the project detail behind delivery of the bigger picture. With this in mind our concept focused on interesting crops of the iconic trophy, engaging the viewer with a touch of the familiar whilst encouraging a closer look. Literally inviting recognition – a key benefit for all awards finalists and winners.

Capturing a classy and contemporary feel with a photoshoot of the trophy lit in APM brand colours and supporting with carefully crafted copy prompting reappraisal of exceptional project outputs, the result is a connected and coherent visual theme reflecting the achievements of the modern profession.

JULY 2016
Client: The Institution of Engineering and Technology
Project: IET Media Image Library Direct Mail

How do you see the engineering profession? Hard hats and high-vis jackets?

As an exciting, dynamic forward focused profession The IET became frustrated with how it was being represented in the media so has recently created a free to use image library to accurately reflect the dynamic, creative and progressive face of engineering today.

In order to launch the service, Aura Creative was tasked with creating an engaging piece of direct mail to send to journalists and the media.

Our chosen concept focused on the juxtaposition of old and new photographic technology.

JUNE 2016
Client: Institution of Civil Engineers
Project: Membership recruitment campaign

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), one of the world’s leading civil engineering institutions, approached Aura Creative to refresh their membership materials to drive recruitment and retention across diverse sectors and different grades whilst differentiating from other engineering bodies.

Working within the current brand framework Aura led a series of real member photoshoots capturing shots which could be recombined and flexed across materials whilst delivering recognisable, relevant and human interactions against a range of sector backdrops.

A ‘ribbon’ graphic was developed to dramatize the alignment of membership across a career – providing a strong, coherent device which worked with to any stage and on any material.

Coming together to create an initial suite of materials these elements provide an adaptable toolkit of assets to use and roll-out in-house or externally.
